Make an Impact in Your Community

Adair Rural Fire and Rescue is  looking for volunteers to join our department.

Our members come from many different backgrounds and professions. While some have previous medical or fire department experience, none is necessary.  We provide all the training and equipment you will need to safely and effectively respond to emergencies.  New recruits attend a fall fire academy and spring emergency medical responder program.  Volunteering will challenge you, reward you and teach you valuable skills, You will make lasting friendships and it’s fun.

We are looking for people to respond out of both our main station in Adair Village and need people in the Soap Creek area for quick response out of our substation.  We responded to about 200 calls a year and have a weekly drill every Wednesday from 7:00 – 10:00pm.  We realize that firefighting & EMS is not for everyone, but we believe that volunteering can be. There is also plenty of work to be done behind the scenes.

The personal rewards and satisfaction received from what we do is tremendous.  If you would like more information, please call our station 541-745-7212, email Chief Aaron Harris aaron@adair-rural-fire.com or stop by our station for drill any Wednesday night at 7:00 pm to see what we are all about.
